A simple and effective way to identify your skin type is the cotton pad test: you gently rub a pad over dry skin and look at it, if there are oily traces it means you are dealing with oily or combination skin; if the pad is clean, your skin will be normal. Identify your skin

Oily skin will have a wide and deep layer of skin containing sebum and dilated pores, which collect all the impurities (pimples and blackheads). During adolescence, in particular, it can develop into full-blown acne which, if not treated properly, can leave scars. A positive feature of oily skin is that it does not easily tend to age and wrinkle. Just remember to thoroughly cleanse it every day, do not overdo it with carbohydrates and do not use overly moisturizing or rich creams. It simply needs thorough cleansing and the right products that help maintain the natural radiance and softness of the skin.
COMBINATION SKINCombination skin is characterized by oily areas (the famous 'T' zone: forehead-nose-chin) and dry areas. Just observe your skin after a few hours of make-up and you can see that combination skin becomes shiny in the T-zone, while remaining dry around the eyes and cheeks. The 'oily' areas will tend to improve thanks to frequent cleansing, while dry areas, on the other hand, need constant hydration and nourishment.
NORMAL SKINNormal skin has no particularly special feature; it is simply free of excess sebum and does not irritate easily. This type of skin does not feel tight, it is soft and has few blackheads. It is very firm, supple and soft with the right amount of lipids and water, and will not need any special care, even with the passing of time, but you can simply rely on a good daily routine and a good moisturizer.

Dry skin is in great need of nourishment because it lacks sebum, which, in minimum quantities, is very useful for preserving its elasticity. It tends to have a yellowish complexion and is at risk of premature aging and irritation: it is essential to keep it moisturized day after day. In summer and winter, in particular, we must pay more attention to dry skin because both the sun and the cold wind contribute to drying it out even more. This skin peels easily, has little elasticity and a dry appearance. It needs deep nourishment and a daily moisturizing routine to strengthen its skin which lacks lipids.
SENSITIVE SKINSensitive skin is very delicate and easy to irritate and burn, and needs products that act as a shield, especially against atmospheric agents. It is rough to the touch, very 'tight' and can often be red and irritated. This skin also needs special treatments to recreate an adequate stratum corneum to soothe redness and protect against oxidative stress (the much-hated free radicals).
Remember that skin can change over the years due to the passing of time, to a change in lifestyle and hormones or due to the use of specific medicines.
